Pat’s daughter Louisa has rekindled the company and it is now the manufacturer of the Aviation Safety Device, the Eye In The Sky.

Interestingly HWB Patterson was an instigator of the New Zealand Made logo which adorned his range of Lyte Aluminium, Tilt A Doors, and aluminium ladders. 

Now, some sixty years later Patterson Distributors are very proud to once again display the New Zealand made logo, this time on their Eye In The Sky product.

The device has been invented after the owner's only child, James (18), was tragically killed whilst a passenger in a helicopter crash. The accident report said that should the aircraft have been fitted with a cockpit video recorder then they would have been able to ascertain why this Robinson R44 helicopter broke up in flight killing the pilot and the passenger.

All of the proceeds of the Eye In The Sky go to the James PG Foundation. A charitable trust set up in the name of Louisa’s son for youth aged 18-24 to reach their full potential.
